Every year we survey nearly 50,000 home and motor insurance customers through our Insurance Behaviour Tracker (IBT) to find out which brands are rated in the top 10 trusted insurance companies. We are delighted to be able to announce our 2020 winners.

Building trust between you and your customers is essential for any business and the insurance industry is no exception. Customer trust not only impacts the initial purchasing decision but also effects whether customers make repeat purchases or look elsewhere.

As an insurer, customers need to trust that you’re not only going to provide the service you’ve promised but that you’re also going to be there to solve their problems.

Customer trust up on last year

The average scores for the top 10 insurance companies were 8.12 for home, and 7.97 for motor. Across the market we saw average scores of 7.76 and 7.67, respectively.

Customer trust has increased slightly across the home market and has remained the same for motor, which is good news for insurers.
