Insights partner for financial services, Consumer Intelligence, wins Outstanding Employer at Global Business Excellence Awards, with People and Culture Business Partner named Outstanding Professional.

Consumer Intelligence, acclaimed independent insight business for financial services, has been named a winner at the 2020 Global Business Excellence Awards, winning an award for Outstanding Employer, as well as taking home an individual prize for People and Culture Business Partner, Alice Norton, as Outstanding Professional.

These are not the first Global Business Excellence wins for the company. In 2018, Consumer Intelligence won a hattrick of awards, nabbing Outstanding Company, Outstanding Blog, and for CEO, Ian Hughes, an individual award for Outstanding Entrepreneur.

The Global Business Excellence Awards pride themselves on having a large panel of independent expert judges who select winners according to strict criteria for each category and sector focussing on financial results, innovation, customer, employee, investor and community benefits.

Consumer Intelligence, which was founded in 2003 with five staff, now employs 70 across five continents focusing on their tailored market data, insights and forecasting capability to help their customers identify strategic opportunities and a strong competitive advantage.

Ian Hughes, CEO of Consumer Intelligence, said: “Considering the challenges we have faced as a nation over the past year, these award wins couldn't come at a better time. At Consumer Intelligence, we have strived to look for the positive of being in lockdown, helping our colleagues to connect and thrive during these difficult times. I am so proud of how we have adapted to changing circumstances and continued to provide excellent service to our clients. Special thanks goes to Alice, who went over and above to ensure everyone was looked after, despite the challenge we faced.”

Commenting on Alice Norton's personal award, the chairman of the Global Business Excellence Awards judges said:

“Consumer Intelligence’s People and Culture Business Partner Alice Norton rose to the challenge of COVID by planning in advance and guiding the company through the pandemic.

"She read everything she could about COVID so that by the time lockdown happened, she had all the internal comms material ready to roll out. In the same way, she prepared for the re-opening of the office well in advance to protect the health of staff and visitors.

''Congratulations to Alice Norton for being a shining example of leadership to her profession and for protecting the interests of the company and staff.”

The Global Business Excellence Awards attract a wide range of entries from across the world, from large international PLCs and public sector organisations to dynamic and innovative SMEs. The winners all have one thing in common — they are truly outstanding at what they do, and Consumer Intelligence have proved this by winning three Global Business Excellence Awards.

Consumer Intelligence clients include most of the UK’s biggest insurers as well as brokers, aggregators, data agencies and financial institutions. Governments and regulators, including the FCA, publish and rely upon Consumer data to help manage the market and the economy.
