Data analytics firm have won Best Small to Medium-sized Business and Chief Executive Ian Hughes as Outstanding Entrepreneur

Data analytics company Consumer Intelligence has achieved outstanding success in the Best Business Awards 2018, putting it firmly on the map as the go-to data analytics partner for the financial services sector.

The company, which has recently expanded to new offices at Temple Quay in Bristol’s enterprise zone, has been named winner of the Best Small to Medium-sized Business category, with CEO Ian Hughes securing the second win as Outstanding Entrepreneur.

Ian Hughes, Chief Executive of Consumer Intelligence said: “2018 has been a fantastic year for Consumer Intelligence, having recently expanded to new offices to support our ambitious growth plans. We are delighted to be presented with these awards which demonstrate our success and really is the cherry on top.

“For almost 15 years, we have been helping financial services companies to see the world through the eyes of their customers. Winning these high profile awards shows our true dedication towards the value we are delivering for our customers.”

“I couldn’t be prouder of our people and their commitment in supporting the continued growth of the business and helping our customers succeed by providing a unique perspective in their world from the outside in. These accolades are a testament to them.”

Commenting on Consumer Intelligence, the chairman of the Best Business Awards judges said:

“Consumer Intelligence (CI) is a fast-growing data analytics company that has proved itself to be a true game-changer in the consumer research market helping businesses to listen to their customers. It has developed unique methods for gathering meaningful and intelligent data from consumers using mystery shopping and many other techniques that clients can incorporate into their service and marketing. After achieving success in the financial services market, Consumer Intelligence is now about to revolutionise the retail banking and energy sectors. Congratulations to Consumer Intelligence for changing the way businesses see their customers.

“Ian Hughes has proved his point that if businesses looked at themselves from the customers’ viewpoint, they would have much greater success. After receiving extremely poor service from financial services firms, he set up Consumer Intelligence 15 years ago to focus on providing meaningful and unique consumer data. Ian spotted an important gap in the market that enabled him to develop an incredibly fast-growing successful business in the UK and in nine other countries. Ian is a creative entrepreneur who has enlightened businesses about listening to their clients.”

But this isn’t the end of the company’s success for 2018. Consumer Intelligence has more award wins on the horizon, having been shortlisted for its proven industry leadership for Business of the Year (51+ employees) and Entrepreneur of the Year in the Business Leader Awards 2018.

Furthermore, Consumer Intelligence have their eyes firmly set on winning the Best Customers At The Heart of Everything – Project/Solution category jointly with GoCompare at the prestigious UK Customer Experience Awards and the Research/Public Affairs Campaign of the Year category jointly with Flood Re by Insurance Post.

Consumer Intelligence, which was founded in 2003 with five staff, now employs 70 across five continents focusing on their tailored market data, insights and forecasting capability to help their customers identify strategic opportunities and a strong competitive advantage.

The Best Business Awards are one of the UK’s highest profile awards and winning this accolade speaks volumes about the quality of an organisation like Consumer Intelligence. Due to its high profile, the Awards attract a wide range of entries from across all sectors from large international PLCs and public sector organisations to dynamic and innovative SMEs.

The winners all have one thing in common – they are truly excellent at what they do and Consumer Intelligence have proved this by winning not just one but two Best Business Awards.
