The FCA had committed to publishing its rules resulting from the consultation on general insurance pricing practices at the end of May 2021. After which, insurance firms would have just 'four' months to implement new rules regarding product governance, requiring them to understand, operationalise and embed the concept of fair value into their business in record time.

To help respond to the new challenge, we held a webinar, titled 'Fair value: The danger of marking your own homework'. Our expert panellists were ready to unpick the FCA's freshly published rules and help establish the first steps regarding implementation.

Our host, Catherine Carey, welcomed guest panellists James Yerkess and Colin Robertson from HAL Consulting - experts in fair value implementation. They were also joined by Consumer Intelligence CEO, Ian Hughes.

Watch our webinar to find out why you should resist marking your own homework, as we explore what fair value implementation looks like in the wake to the FCA's new rules.
